Meet Amy

Amy Anderson is an experienced former classroom teacher and current educational therapist. She specializes in supporting neurodiverse students in math and executive functioning skills through individualized one-on-one virtual support.

Amy believes in a strengths- and asset-based approach that fosters compassion and agency. She meets her students where they are and positions them as experts on their own learning. As someone with dyslexia, she understands the importance of providing a welcoming, fun, and safe environment for students to make mistakes without judgment, set goals, and learn to self-advocate.

Why I Do This Work

Learning new information has both motivated me and provided me with comfort and predictability. In a way, it has been like a close friend.

Over the years, my students have taught me how to be a better educator and human. They have shown me what it truly means to “climb higher.”
